Out today – "the mountain" – second single from jaimie branch's forthcoming LP Fly or Die Fly or Die Fly or Die ((world war)). A sparse and rustic, beautifully loose and minimalist cover of The Meat Puppets’ “Comin’ Down," the track features Fly or Die bassist Jason Ajemian on lead vocals, with branch doing harmonies. Singing together, they express a congenial solidarity — branch and Ajemian were best friends, after all — and though restrained, it's rousing.

Debut eponymous work by a new artist on our label, created in collaboration with all manner of places and faces from our extended family...

There is only love and fear is a vignetted voyage via oceans, dwellings, and landscapes by Berlin-based, British-born composer, percussionist, producer, and instrument maker Bex Burch.

On an occasionally snowing spring day in Chicago – April 20th, 2021 – just ahead of the release of Damon Locks & Black Monument Ensemble's sophomore album NOW, International Anthem's Alejandro Ayala, Scottie McNiece and Lindsey Stepney traversed the city with microphone and camera, aiming to eternalize a moment in time with every BME band member outside of their respective homes.

In what's been shaping up to be a truly historic run of creative output amidst a seemingly endless live schedule... the Mancunian troubadour Alabaster DePlume returns today with a new album of mostly instrumental material... Open, honest, and true... these merely lightly-fined by-products of collectivist compositional process are from now-legendary sessions at Total Refreshment Centre, and they are titled Come With Fierce Grace.

We're very happy to partner with Chicago's Lumpen Radio, a whole bunch of fellow record labels, and a growing list of independent record stores to deliver a collectivist action under the umbrella of: TOMORROW IS LISTENING.

There have been many emotions over the last 6 months as we finalized and made preparations for this moment... But now that we're here... the forefront is a deep and warmly resonant joy as we're able to share this first new music since we lost our beloved sister – trumpeter, composer, creative music titan, total artist and utterly unmatchable human in every sense – jaimie branch.

We've been hearing you for all these years... And today we're very happy to say that, at long last, we've got some soft goods on offer. Thanks in great part to the inspiration and design skills of our comrade Jeremiah Chiu, and logistical and common sense support from our comrade Itzi Marques... On this very loaded date in the somehow recent past... the five members of Irreversible Entanglements (Camae Ayewa, Keir Neuringer, Aquiles Navarro, Luke Stewart, Tcheser Holmes) gathered at Rittenhouse Soundworks in Philadelphia. Their plan was to compose, create and record a new album in a single day of work.
