Tracing the Lines

Tracing The Lines is a creative exploration of International Anthem and the community that surrounds it. Issue #2 – our second annual installment – maintains a focus on artists speaking with one another about how and why they make their art, and in turn, how and why they live their lives.

Alabaster DePlume, Alejandro Ayala, André 3000, Ariana Lebedev, Ash Knotek, Ayana Contreras, Ben Lumsdaine, Bex Burch, Bob Sweeney, Carlos Niño, Damon Krukowski, Damon Locks, David Allen, David Brown, Dave Vettraino, Fabrice Bourgelle, Gira Dahnee, Jeremiah Chiu, Jesse Ponkamo, Jocelyn Michelle Brown, Junius Paul, Justin Cook, Keir Neuringer, Kurt de Leijer, LeFtO, Lori Mendoza, Luke Stewart, Macie Stewart, Marta Sofia Honer, Mike Richelle, Nate Mercereau, Ndumiso Sibanda, Nicole Mckenzie, Rob Mazurek, Rob Shaw, Sam Lee, Scott McNiece, Thandi Ntuli, Tseliso Monaheng, Will Miller and Yale Evelev.

Tracing The Lines:

Carlos Niño, André 3000, and Nate Mercereau

Along with the release of our new physical zine today, we wanted to publish and share one of the pieces via our website. And what more appropriate and timely choice than: "...part of a conversation between Carlos Niño, André 3000, and Nate Mercereau from Friday, August 18, 2023..."

The conversation was captured at the Village Recorder in West Los Angeles, in between music-making as the three artists worked together on New Blue Sun (André 3000's first solo album, which was co-produced by Carlos Niño and heavily features Mercereau, and was released last Friday November 17th).

Read the piece via our website here.
