Makaya performs as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival this Saturday evening, and OG trio with Matt Ulery on bass and Marquis Hill on trumpet. Their performance will be preceded by a conversation between Makaya, Damon Locks, and IARC co-founder Scottie McNiece, discussing our label's history and concepts of sonic collage, in theory and practice.
